see it's very simple what happens is that there are pipes arranged in a house that all connect at on place and on the place where all the pipes come there is made some sort of storage tank then whenever it rains the pipes that connect the roof to the storage tank transport all the rainwater to the tank and hence the water gets harvested that is gets stored in the tank
