Observations and Conclusions
1) Most of the alpha particles passed straight through the gold foil without much hindrance. Most of the space inside the atom iis empty.
2) Some of them were seen as defecting at small angles. The centre of the atom is positively chaged.
3) One out of every 12000 atoms, rebounded. The whole mass of the atom is concentrated to thecentre which is very small in size.
