Indian Constitution is a federation with the element of unitary states.
But first we have to understand what is the unitary and federation means.
Federation : The division of power power between Central Government a and state government.
Unitary: In this Government, the country which only governed by the singal power that is central government which is so much powerful.
Now,
India is a federation with unitary features as the power is divided between our central government and states governments where the central government is very much powerful . However, the state goverment has also some powers.
Hence , it is called that Indian constitution is federal with unitary features.
