i) The central government in India made a law inplementing the right to work in 200 districts of India and then extended to an additional 130 district.

ii) The Remaining district in rular area were brought under the act with effect from 1 April. It is called NREGA2005.

(iii) under NERGA all those who are able to and in need of work are guaranteed 100 days employment in a year by the government.

If government fails then it will give unemployment allownances to the people.

(iv) The type of work that would carried in the future help to increase the production from land will be given Preference under the act.
