Sea Trade Route

Explanation:

Many ancient literature make several references to travelling by ships to faraway places. Sea travel was the earliest mode of international travel. Exchange of goods and services as well as knowledge and culture was made possible by the travellers who ventured on such voyages. Bodhgaya mentions sea trade by merchants in many places. Strabo and Jataka also allude to many sea expeditions and travels by the Khastriya and Mauryan people. These literature mention big ships being gifted or people arriving at a location at ships that can accommodate nearly 1000 passengers. Sea trade made the merchants and shipowners very rich. It is mentioned in Milindpajah that Indians made voyages to Bengal, Malaya Plateau, China, Gujarat, Kathiawar, Alexandria, Coromandal Coast, Eastern Islands of Indonesia, Java, etc.
