Answer
Sex is the hereditary difference between two individuals of same species. Sex is determined at the time of fertilization, when the male and female gametes fuse.
The process by which the sex of a person is determined is called sex determination.
Sex chromosomes are found in sex cells and are responsible for the determination of sex. These are X and Y chromosomes.
X and Y chromosomes are structurally different. In human beings, the female has two X chromosome (XX) in the cells, males have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome (XY).
In female all ova produced possess X chromosome while in male, the sperm produced are of 2 types half X and half Y chromosomes.
Thus, the sex of the baby depends upon the male sperm X bearing sperm produces girl bady and Y bearing sperm produces bay baby.
