it is a short statement of constitution 's basic values.it is the sole of the constitution. it contains the philosophy on which our entire constitution. it provides a standard to examine law or action of government whether it is good or bad.
Secular--India is a secular country and any religion can be followed by the citizens.Sovereign--Peole have supreme right to make decisions.Socialist--Wealth is generated socially and should be shared equally by society (Income Tax)
Democratic--India is a democratic country and people have the power to elect the rulers and remove them anytime.Justice--Citizens of India cannot be discriminated on any basis (caste, creed, religion, gender, etc. )Liberty-- Citizens of India can express their opinion, have freedom to speak.Equality--All are equal before law.Fraternity--No citizen of India should be treated as inferior.
