Membrane bound organelles play a very essential role in living organisms as they help to keep the content like fluids, proteins etc. of the cells inside the cell. If the membranes were not there our cells wouldn’t have a well defined structure thus affecting our body shape and also all the fluids of the organelles would mix with each other and some harmful substance s could cause severe damage. For eg : If lysosomes didn’t have a membrane then the powerful digestive enzymes would flow out very easily and engulf the whole cell.
