In 1919 British passed a law which is called Rowlatt Act also known as 'Black Bill' for Indians. This act was passed by Rowlatt Commission so it name was Rowlatt Act. For this law British got the major power in India. It didn't help any Indians. It effected badly on people of India. Because by this law British could arrest anyone without any proof only by doubt if they thought this person is against British. So, the Indians were very much afraid for this law. Many persons were priosoned. Mahatma Gandhi and many other leaders called 'hartal' for many days. Social life was distracted....
