In texture soil very from loam to clays. generally there are natural to alkaline in reaction calcerious and well supplied bases such as Ca.,Mg,k........Black soil are known to get self ploughed due to their swelling and shrinking properties with change in their moisture content .....

Red soil and black soils are found in karnatka.
Features of red soil are :-
It is red in colour due to ferric oxide.
It contain lime, phosphate, magnese etc.
Wheat, oilseeds can grown in this.
Black soil :-
Also known as black cotton soil because cotton can grown best in this type of soil.

It contain iron, lime, calcium etc.
