solution is homogeneous mixture in which the particles of solute perfectly dissolve in it the size of solute particles less than 1 NM but a suspension heterogeneous mixture in which the small particles of a solid are separate throughout a liquid without involving in it the particles of suspension settle down but particles of solution do not settle down
