The Cochabamba Water War[2] was a series of protests that took place in Cochabamba, Bolivia's fourth largest city, between December 1999 and April 2000 in response to the privatization of the city's municipal water supply company SEMAPA. The wave of demonstrations and police violence was described as a public uprising against water prices.[3]

The “Cochabamba Water War” was a protests by pubic which took place in city named Cochabamba, situated in Bolivia. This protest took place between the periods from December 1999 to April 2000 in order to raised voice against the privatization of the city's municipal w saterupply company SEMAPA.

This protest was mainly backed by Coordinadora for protecting water and life. Thousands of people marched and battled against police. The privatization was took away by the national government in with agreement Coordinadora.
