Because if we give attention to something that is good for us, like something motivational stories, poems, etc, we learn something from it and if we are in disputes and we memorie that we have learn how we can control the situation when we are confused. Yes, giving attention we learn something and in time of need we use that knowledge as our solution also. And if we are watching or listening something that will motivate us then when there are no one to help us and we are helpless, this motivation will come to our mind. If we don't pay attention then the motivation will not come.

So attention is motivational.
