Answer:

Cells of different tissues are differentiated to carry out specific activities. This shows that tissues exhibit division of labour. A good example being various types of tissues in the plant kingdom like meristematic which divides to produce new cells, vascular which conducts food, water and minerals, epithelium which is protective in function. Each of these tissues have cells which are modified to carry out specific activities.

Tissues make up a system, which in turn make up the whole organism. Therefore tissues work differently to provide required support needed by an organism.

For example epidermal tissue, in the leaf, protects, absorbs water and participate in gaseous exchange. Whereas xylem tissue is for transport of water and ions and phloem tissue transports manufactured food.
