In accelerated motion either the speed or the direction (or both) is changing. A more concise statement is that the velocity is changing, as velocity consists of both a speed and a direction.

this is because in uniform circular motion direction changes due to change in velocity but speed remains.the continuous change in velocity conclude that velocity is not same
so uniform circular motion is accelerated motion
