In a dark room where there is no light, even if there are objects, it won't return any light our eyes due to lack of source of light. Hence we cannot see anything in a dark room. We can see any object,when the light reflected by that object reaches our eyes. But in dark form ,no light is reflected by the object .During darkness, no reflected light will fall on the retina. Hence, no image will be formed by eye. That's why we can not view any object.
