(a) (i) Compress and cool by increasing pressure and decreasing temperature.

(ii) Allow to warm up slowly in fractional distillation column.

(iii) Gases get separated at different heights.

Two main components :

Oxygen 21% and Nitrogen 78%.

Oxygen gets liquified first because its boiling point is higher than that of the other components.
