Although the approach of Tvet colleges to equip students with practical skills is commendable yet their are many stigmas related to it.

Stigmas associated with Tvet colleges:

  • To begin with, Tvet colleges do not have a proper curriculum like the other technical institutes. A s a result, students might have a problem with going in a flow.
  • Another stigma associated with the Tvet colleges are the logistical challenges that one has to face due to lack of proper funding to such colleges.
  • As students from a Tvet college do not have a proper graduate degree as compared to those graduating from technical institutes hence they are often not considered as a good prospect when compared with degree holders.
  • Also, these students are always unfairly categorized.
