STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE

MITOCHONDRIA PLASTIDS

pigments are present and in PLASTIDS pigments are
absent

inner memberane
is inwardly many
folded are called
crystae. and in PLASTIDS folds are not found in inner
memberane.

it is divided by chambers and chambers are not found in PLASTIDS.

SIMILARITES

THEY both have their own DNAand ribosomes and they both have double membrane.

mtichondria have some folds in inner membrane called as cristae nd they have f1-f0 particle which are associated with ATP production...matrix of mitochondria posses nany enzyme related with cellular respiration..
plastid are not found in animal.cells...plastid are of different types in which most famous is chlororoplast..which help in photosynthesis nd posses enzyme related to photosynthesis in its matrix(stroma)....
similarity- both are double membrane bound organlle...nd both are semiautonomous type organelles..which have its own machienry for protein synthesis...
