Mitochondria and Chloroplast are two semiautonomous organalles .

MITOCHONDRIA ⤵
STRUCTURE⤵
mitochondria are shaped perfectly to maximize their productivity . They are made up of two membranes . The outer membrane covers the organalle and contains it like a skin . The inner membrane folds over many times and creates layered structures called Cristae .
FUNCTION⤵
Mitochondria are a part of eukaryotic cell. It's main function is to perform cellular respiration. This means it take in nutrients from the cell break it down and produce energy currency ( ATP- adenosine tri phosphate

CHLOROPLAST
STRUCTURE⤵
Two membrane contain and protect the inner part of the chloroplast . They are appropriately named the outer and inner membranes .The inner membrane surrounds the stroma and grana ( stacks of thylakoids ) .One thylakoids stack is called a granum.
FUNCTION⤵
Animal cell do not have chloroplasts . Chloroplasts work to convert light energy of the sun into the sugars that can be used by cells . The entire process is called the PHOTOSYNTHESIS and it all depends on the little green chlorophyll molecule in each chloroplast.
