human blood is made up of mainly two parts:

acellular part:

it is basically the plasma and some proteins and fibres

cellular part:

it is formed following of cells

red blood cells.

white blood cells

platelets.

FUNCTIONS:

it is a connective tissue so its function is to connect two different tissues.

it helps to transport oxygen to all parts of the body as it contains red blood cells.

it helps to transport waste to the excretory organ that is kidney.

it helps to fight infection as it contains white blood cells.

it contains platelets that forms clots when there is a cut.

it absorbs food and nutrients from intestine and transports it to all the tissues.

it transports carbon dioxide to the lungs.
