The cells of nervous tissue are known as Neurons.

Explanation:

Each Neurons consist of cell body known as Cyton which have nucleus, cytoplasm and is covered by plasma membrane.

Neurons have short hair like extension from Cyton known as Dendron.

These Dendron further divided into dendrites.

Third portion of Neurons is a long tail like structure called as Axon.

Axon of one neuron is very closely placed to the dendron of another neuron to carry impulse from one neuron in form of electrochemical wave. This is known as Synapse.
