3 components of neuron are Cell body or soma, Dendrites an Axon. Cell body consists of the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Dendrites are short projections or extensions that stretch out of the cell body.The neurons carry messages in the form of electrical signals called nerve impulses

neurons are specialized cells of the nervous system that transmit signals throughout the body. Neurons have long extensions that extend out from the cell body called dendrites and axons. Dendrites are extensions of neurons that receive signals and conduct them toward the cell body.
