An email has three basic parts: The header, a set of lines containing information about the message's transportation, such as the sender's address, the recipient's address, ortimestamps showing when the message was sent by intermediaryservers to the transport agents (MTAs), which act as a mail sorting office.

hey mate
here is your answer
Explanation:
An email address consists of two parts, a local part and a domain; if the domain is a domain name rather than an IP address then the SMTP client uses the domain name to look up the mail exchange IP address. The general format of an email address is local-part@domain, e.g. jsmith@[192.168.1.2], [email protected].
