Answer:
The brain has three main parts: the cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem. Cerebrum: is the largest part of the brain and is composed of right and left hemispheres. It performs higher functions like interpreting touch, vision and hearing, as well as speech, reasoning, emotions, learning, and fine control of movement.
The structure of cerebrum:
● The major part of brain is formed by cerebrum.
● cerebrum, thalamus and hypothalamus are parts of cerebrum.
● A deep cleft divides cerebrum into right and left hemispheres.
● Corpus callosum connect the hemispheres.
● Corpus callosum is the layer of cells which covers the cerebral hemisphere and thrown in to prominent folds.
● Cerebral cortex is grey in colours because of the presence of more cell bodies anddendrites.
● It contains motor areas, sensory areas and association areas for complex functions.
● Cerebral medulla is the Inner part of cerebral hemisphere.
● It is white in colour due to the presence of axons.
