forebrain consists of cerebrum thalamus and hypothalamus
cerebrum forms the major part of the brain a deep cleft divides into right and left hemisphere the hemispheres are connected to the Corpus callosum
the layer of cells which covers the cerebral hemisphere is called as cerebral cortex and thrown into the prominent Folds
cerebral cortex is grey in colour because of presence of more cell bodies and dendrites
it contains motor area sensory area and Association area for Complex functions in a part of cerebral hemisphere is Cerebral medula it is white in colour due to presence of axons
