A cultivator is any of several types of farm implement used for secondary tillage. One sense of the name refers to frames with teeth(also called shanks) that pierce the soil as they are dragged through it linearly. Another sense refers to machines that use rotary motion of disks or teeth to accomplish a similar result. The rotary tiller is a principal example.
Structure of cultivator:
The cultivator is the machine which is used in the field of farming to prepare the soil to sow seeds or saplings. It is a hand driven tools which have no wheels and contains a blade with which it moves over the soil.
They are small and light on weight due to which they are highly portable in nature. It contains blades at the back and has a holder with help of which it is moved. It uses either petrol or diesel as fuel.
