The main role of the cornea is to refract the light that enters theeyes. Iris: It is a pigmented layer of tissues that make up the colored portion of the eye. Its primary function is to control the size of the pupil, depending on the amount of light entering it...

An eye is oval shaped part and is present in the upper portion besides the nose.

A eye consists of many components:-

=>  \bf Cornea :-

it's the front part of the eye pupil and covers the anterior liquid, iris, pupil.

=>  \bf pupil :-

it's the small black portion of eye present between lens and anterior chamber. It allows the light rays to pass through it. It appears black because the light is absorbed by tissues

=>  \bf lens:-

The lens is a transparent, biconvex structure in the eye that, along with the cornea, helps to refract light to be focused on the retina.

=>  \bf sclera :-

The sclera, also known as the white of the eye, is the opaque, fibrous, protective, outer layer of the human eye containing mainly collagen and some elastic.

=> \bf ciliary\: \: body :-

The ciliary body is a part of eye that protects the lens and controls its shape and produces aqueous humour.

=> \bf vitreous \: \: body :-

The vitreous the the space between retina and lens and is filled of transparent vitreous liquid and allows the rays to pass to the retina.

=>  \bf anterior  \: \: chamber :-

The anterior chamber also contains some liquid and it helps in protecting the lens iris and pupil from any harm.

=> \bf choroid :-

It's a protective layer between sclera and retina and consists of ganglion bodies..

=> \bf retina :-

Retina of an eye is the portion where light get absorbed. It contains rods and cones cells which determine the coloured image.

=> \bf macula :-

The macula or macula lutea is an oval-shaped pigmented area near the center of the retina of the human eyes.

=> \bf optic \: \: nerve \: \: and \: \: optic \: \: disc :-

Optic nerves it the part which transmits the image from retina to brain.

optic disc or optic nerve head is the point of exit for ganglion cell axons leaving the eye. Because there are no rods or cones overlying the optic disc
