The main parts of human eye are

cornea, pupil, iris, aqueous humour, lens , vitreous humour, retina and optic nerve.

light enters by the passing through the transparent cornea and aqueous humour .

the iris controls the size of the pupil . which is opening that allows light to enter the lens.
