Here are the structural characteristics of human sperm are as follows :-

➡The sperm is a microscopic structure which is capable of movement.

➡The sperm consists of the following parts :

(i) Head .

(ii) Middle portion .

(iii) Tail.

➡The head portion of the sperm contains a structure called the acrosome.

➡The tail portion of the sperm helps it to actively transport .

➡The middle portion also contains a mitochondria which is helpful in providing ATP .

➡The sperm cell contains 23 chromosomes and hence it is called a haploid because it is the half the normal amount of chromosomes.
