Answer:

Structure of Neurons

Cell Body - contains nucleus and organelles

Dendrites - receive input

Axon - conducts impulses away from the cell body

Axon hillock - an enlarged region where an axon attaches to the cell body

Synaptic terminal - Neurotransmitters are manufactured in the cell body but released from synaptic terminals. The neurotransmitters stimulate other neurons.

Synapse - A synapse is the junction between the synaptic terminal and another cell. The other cell is called a postsynaptic cell.

Hope it helps.

Neuron

The nerve cells

Structure of Neuron

(Refer to attachment)

Dendrites:

Branched,Short processes which reviece nerve impulses from other neuron

Cyton:

»Cell Body of a neuron, they consist of a nucleus and cytoplasm

»Regulation of impulses is done here, the weak impulses aren't processed further to the axon

Axon:

Longest part of the neuron,it is responsible for transportation of nuerons

Axon Terminals:

Bulb like structures present on the endings of nuerons, they aid in passing impulses from one neuron to the other

Synapse:

The space between two neurons

Sheath:

Neurons can be sheathed or non sheathed. Sheathing is an insulation around the axon and it also determines the rate at which impulses travel
