Answer:

The nucleus is a sphere-shaped organelle found in eukaryotic cells. It contains the genetic material of the cell in the form of nucleic acids. It is responsible for controlling all activities of the cell. and contains a nuclear membrane, chromosomes, nucleolus and nucleoplasm.

Explanation:

(b) Chromatin is a substance within a chromosome consisting of DNA and protein. The DNA carries the cell's genetic instructions. The major proteins in chromatin are histones, which help package the DNA in a compact form that fits in the cell nucleus. Changes in chromatin structure are associated with DNA replication and gene expression.

(c) Chromatin folds itself into chromosomes which are the ones to define characteristics in living organisms.

(d) If the nucleus is removed from the cell then the cell will not be able to function properly, it will not be able to grow. All the metabolic functioning of the cell will stop. Without nucleus the cell will lose its control. It can not carry out cellular reproduction.
