1) The respiratory system starts from aour nostrils, here hair are present which make the air dust less.
2) Nostrils open into the Nasal passage. At the membrane of nasal passage layer of mucus is present which purifies the air.
3) Nasal cavities open into a pharynx(throat) and then into larynx(voice box), from larynx air enters trachea(wind pipe) where rings of cartilage are present which prevents tge trachea from collapsing. From trachea air enters into a pair of Bronchi which enters each lung.
4) Right lung is larger whereas left lung is narrower due to the presence of heart. Right lung has 3 limbs while left lung has 2 limbs. In lungs bronchi open into no. of bronchioles and it has no. of baloon-like structures attached to it called alveoli.
5) Alveoli transfers oxygen into blood capillaries through it's permeable membrane.
Carbon dioxide enters alveoli and the process is done vice versa.
