In the Substitution method firstly you have been given 2 equations name them eq.1 and eq.2 there after from any of these equations choose any one equation make seperate value of 'x' and name it equation 3.
Then substitute value of 'x' in the opposite equation which you have chosen earlier to seperate value of 'x'. Then solve that.
You will get final value of X. Now suctitute that value in equation 3 to get the final value of 'y'.
