sweating is primary mechanism of regulating human body temperature. whenever we are exposed to extreme conditions whether through environmental factors or due to increased metabolism, heat dissipation becomes vital for the survival.
in humans it occur usually when ambient temperature is higher than the body or more precisely skin temperature. sweat secretion take place from eccrine glands which are in higher density present on the soles of feet, forehead, cheeks and palm. there is another sweat gland called apocrine sweat gland which are less in number then eccrine glands. their mixed secretion is called as sweat. this sweat not only helps in heat regulation but also in removal of excess fat and blood impurities.
the impurities from the blood enter the skin through dilation of the surface of blood vessels along with some water and enter the sweating glands and mix with their secretions which are mainly composed of water, fats, some nitrogenous proteins (blood impurities) which can be toxic to our body.
these secretions come upon the skin through the pores in the skin and gets evaporated. sometimes during high temperatures the sweating is too much that we experience excess water loss thus to compensate this loss one must keep drinking lots of water!

Answer:

Your sweat glands release sweat, which cools your skin as it evaporates. This helps lower you internal temperature.
