ALINK and VLINK:

ALINK: Active link abbreviates to ALINK. This is the link that one decides to visit. When the cursor is placed on the link, that one decides to visit, it shows in red colour. While searching for some information on the internet, one gets to see many links. From the results, the link that one decides to enter is called active link.

VLINK: Visited Link abbreviates to VLINK. This is the link that a visitor has already visited before. When one searches for the same information in the same day, a purple coloured link indicates that the person has visited it already.
