Explain the term creamy layer.Why should they "not" be given benefits of reservation? ... The Idea of reservation is to promote the dignity of the lower caste and help then to become rich. CREAMY LAYER should not be given reservation because. (1). Being of lower caste are are enough rich.


Ghosteye: sorry but we have got this question explain the term creamy layer . why should they be given benefit of reservation in book . my all class mate has same question I don't think this is wrong question !!

The term creamy layer is used for the relatively wealthier and better-educated members of the backward classes. It is argued that they should not continue to avail the benefits of reservations as they are rich and educated .
