☆ Frictional Force ☆
It is defined as a force that offers resistance to motion. It comes into existence only when the surfaces of two objects in contact move with respect to each other, e.g., when we stop pedalling a cycle it gradually slows down and ultimately stops after travelling some distance.
Similarly, when we roll a ball on the plane ground it stops after moving a certain distance. Hence, force of friction slows down the motion of a moving body in contact with the other body . When we push a heavy box the force of friction opposes the motion and make it difficult for us to push it.
