dissent is commonly based on opinions while the law is formally documented on official books.

Laws can be referred from the constitution while a dissent  does not have any point of reference.

dissent are described as arguments and opinions that may in one way or the other relate to existing laws  while this does not necessarily mean they are factual or can be referred to .

Before independence what existed were only dissent whereas currently what is being used is the law that is clearly stipulated ans outlined by the constitution .
