Nutrients are individual types of compound, given individual specific names. aka “macros”

Nutrition is a broader view of entire food consumption (and often categorised on an effects basis). Eg good nutrition, poor nutrition.

You could say nutrients is looking through a microscope and nutrition is looking at the supermarket.

Specific v broader view.

The relationship is thus that all nutrition contains nutrients and that a collection of nutrients in food constitute nutrition, but a nutrient alone is not nutrition.

A nutrient is a literal measurable unit, where as nutrition has associated various values and measures and is a complex event and has a variable outcome that can differ from person to person.
