Explain the term omnivores

Omnivores are omnivorous, omnis means all and vore is from the Latin vorares which means eat or devour.

Humans are omnivores as are many creatures they eat plant and vegetable matter but also meat, fish and/or insects as opposed to carnivores who eat purely flesh and herbivores who eat only plant matter.
