flow of a fluid in which its velocity at any point is constant or varies in a regular manner. It can be represented by streamlines. Also called: viscous flow. Compare turbulent flow, See also laminar flow.

Dear Avirna,
◆ Streamline flow -
- Flow of fluid in which velocity is constant throughout the path is called streamline flow.
- In this condition, fluid flows in parallel layers without intermixing.
- Streamline flow is usually observed at lower velocities.
- Speed of inner parallel layers is always more than that of outer layers.
- Value of Reynolds number for laminar flow is usually small.
Hope this helped you. Thanks for asking..
