The poor bloke driving the Archduke took a wrong turn and set off World War One. He should have asked directions. Sarajevo, June 28, 1914. It was the anniversary of the First Battle of Kosovo in 1389, the day medieval Serbia was defeated by the Turks, and a day that has been sacred to Serbian nationalists ever since.

Hey mate ❤️

Answer = It would take only a single crisis—the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife Sophie Chotek by a young Bosnian Serb nationalist in Sarajevo—to push the continent's six major powers into World War I, which devastated the continent and killed some 17 million soldiers.

Hope its helpful to you.
