Hey,
The decomposition taking place in the presence of heat is called thermal decomposition.
Example :-

CuCO3 -> CuO + CO2.

Hii Mate here is your Answer,

》What is called Decomposition Reaction?

Decomposition is a kind of Chemical Reaction in which a compound splits into two or more simpler substances are known as Decomposition Reaction.

It is just oppoaite of Combination Reaction.The decomposition reactions are carried out by heat,light or electricity.

》Explain different Types of Chemical Reactions with Suitable reactions.

☆ Thermal Decomposition Reaction.

When a decomposition reaction is carried out by heating , it is called ' Thermal Decomposition'.

Suitable Examples....

CaCO3 (s) --------------------> CaO (s) + CO2 (g)

KClO3 (s) -------------------> KCL (s) + 3O2

☆ Electrolysis

When a decomposition reaction is carried out by the use of electricity that is known as electric decomposition. ( or electrolysis).

Suitable examples ....

H20 (l) ---------------------------> H2 (g) + O2 (g)

NaCl (l) ---------------------------> Na (s) + Cl2 (g)

☆ Photo- Decomposition

When a decomposition reaction is carried out by using Light Energy we call it as Photo decomposition.

Suitable examples......

AgCl (s) ------------------------- > Ag (s) + Cl2 (g)

AgBr (s) ------------------------> Ag (s) + Br(g)

Task For You ▪☆▪☆▪☆▪☆▪☆

Just Remember all those types of decomposition reaction and their uses.
Balance all the equation written Above.

For Your Practice.

☆☆☆ Hope this helps You a lot ☺ ☆☆☆
