Trojan Horses are an attempt to steal and pass on confidential information such as passwords and credit card numbers. They don't reproduce by infecting other files or by self - replicating like Viruses and worms.

A Trojan horse entres to a computer system because a user installs it under the wrong impression that is a useful and harmless program. When a Torgan horse is activated, it typically changes existing desktop icons or creates new ones.

It may also delete important system files. Its main aim, however, is to steal sensitive information stored on the infected computer.
