1) Sustainable development

Ans:- Farm production which is used away In the maintenance of the family only is called Subsistence Farming'. Farmers having very small land holdings practise such farming Cultivation is considered to be a life maintaining activity in most part of India.

(2) Dry Farming

Ans:- In the regions where rainfall is less, Irrigation facilities are inadequate and crops depend only on rainfall, only one crop can be taken annually through the moisture contained in the soll. This is called 'Dry Farming. Crops like Jowar, millet and pulses are grown here.

(3) Wet Farming

Ans:- Wet farming is carried out in the regions which receive heavy rainfall and also have adequate facility of Irrigation. Here more than one crop can be grown in a year. Paddy, sugarcane, cotton, wheat, vegetables, etc. are also grown.
