Explain the terms (a) Saturation voltage and (b)Stopping potential.

Saturation voltage :-

The voltage between the collector and emitter terminals under conditions of base current or base-emitter voltage beyond which the collector current remains essentially constant as the base current or voltage is increased.

Stopping potential :-The stopping potential is defined as the potential necessary to stop any electron (or, in other words, to stop even the electron with the most kinetic energy) from reaching the other side.
