Answer

⚫Hydration

◾When ionic solid is dissolved in polar solvent like water, the cations and anions of ionic solid is attracted by Oxygen and hydrogen of water respectively .

◾As a result each ions surrounded by many number of water molecules to form hydrated ion.

This exothermic process is called hydration.

◾Degree of hydration depends upon the charge density of an iron.

◾Degree of hydration decreases as size of increases.

◾Ionic solid dissolves in water easily, if lattice energy is less than radiation energy.

here is you answer..

●The heat energy released when new bonds are made between the ions and water molecules is known as the hydration enthalpy of the ion.

●The hydration enthalpy is the enthalpy change when 1 mole of gaseous ions dissolve in sufficient water to give an infinitely dilute solution.
