brother here is your answer.

See step deviation method is used when the data is too big.

For eg if the class interval is big or the frequency is too big which would take too much time.

In this method of finding mean, you have to divide the total of fiui by the total of fi(frequency) and add A (A is any value from the midvalue but in a data this value is constant) and multiply by the height.

Take an example from the picture that I am attaching, the only thing to remember is that you should do the calculation properly.

And in this type of finding mean, the summation of fiui can come in negative also.

Where ,ui=xi-a/h

And h= class size

Also a=any attribute value chosen as assumed mean (i.e., somewhere in the middle of xi ).
