"vasoconstriction". How do these processes
contribute in temperature regulation of the body?
plz help...

Answer:

Explanation:

VASODILATION:

It  is a mechanism to enhance blood flow to areas of the body that are lacking oxygen and nutrients.

The vasodilation causes a decrease in systemic vascular resistance (SVR) and an increase in blood flow, resulting in a reduction of blood pressure.

VASODILATION IN REGULATING BODY TEMPERATUTRE:

Blood vessels supplying blood to the skin can swell or dilate.

This causes more heat to be carried by the blood to the skin, where it can be lost to the air.

VASOCONSTRICTION:

It reduces the volume or space inside affected blood vessels.

When blood vessel volume is lowered, blood flow is also reduced.

At the same time, the resistance or force of blood flow is raised.

                This causes higher blood pressure.

VASOCONSTRICTION IN REGULATING BODY TEMPERATURE :

Blood vessels can shrink down again.

This reduces heat loss through the skin once the body's temperature has returned to normal.
